John Dennis

Unfortunately John Dennis passed away on the 12th of February after a long illness.  He spent the last two weeks in the Hospice he was so instrumental in founding with his fund-raising and computer skills. Prior to devoting his energies to Hospice, John was a long-term member of Manx Model Flyers.  He was Chairman on and off for around 10 years and a very enthusiastic builder of models. He organised the Manx Model Meet and was always one of those who stayed on-site for the duration of the event. He was instrumental in club trips to Woodvale and organised the club tug and glider-towing displays at Woodvale and and the now defunct but affectionately remembered Goosedale.

He was a gentle giant with determination who was always so willing to talk about anything but especially model aeroplanes. Everybody will remember him for what he has done for the benefit of others.
