Our club was first formed in 1968 and is affiliated with the British Model Flying Association. The main purposes of the club are to encourage, assist and promote the flying of model aircraft of all types. The club currently has over fifty members and there is a wealth of experience should you require any assistance.  The BMFA forms the framework of our club, providing guidance as to safe operating procedures, insurance, achievement schemes, education, technical advice and a wealth of other support.  A good starting point for anyone starting out in this hobby is to read the Manx Model Flyers Handbook and Jurby Guidelines by clicking on the following two links :

MMF Handbook 101119 (EDITION ONE)

Jurby Guidelines 061219

Perhaps our new members and Members waiting for their “A” Flight Test would like to see the BMFA Up & Away published in 2002.
