Thanks to Stan Craine for the photographs
and comments below.
Stan has said that he
would also like to offer his assistance to anyone else
who wishes to fly helicopters.
"I don’t profess to be very good but I might be able to help someone avoid the
mistakes I’ve made !!!!!"

| Stan Craine
has sent some pictures in of his
TREX 450 being flown in
his back garden.
The model has an inexpensive ( read cheap ) metal head fitted but other than that it is not blinged at all. Colco 400 gyro provides tail stabilisation and again is a very cheap copy of a Futaba unit. I get 7-8 minutes of flight on cheap 11.1v 2200mah Chinese lipo batteries with the standard brushless motor as supplied in original kit. Plenty of time to focus the mind or seek a change of underwear. You don’t have to win the lottery to fly helicopters ( it might help ) and Gravity doesn’t seem to be to bothered about the cost of repairs. |
