Tony Henderson's Trixie & Swallow

Trixie

This is a model called Trixie, built by Tony Henderson.  Tony's building abilities are the envy of many club members.  These photographs don't do justice to the building quality of his models.

Tony's Trixie was built from an RCM&E plan.  The wood parts were drawn with a CAD software program and transferred to a Step4 CNC router for cutting.  Covering is Fibafilm using Balsaloc adhesive.  Power is provided by a SC 10 running on Irvine Sport 5% and for guidance Tony uses a Futaba 9ZAP with a PPM Rx.  Wing loading is 13.5ozs/sq ft.

Swallow
This is Tony's Swallow.  The model is a prototype CNC cut example of Ron Donohue's reliable small trainer.  The model is covered with clear Profilm, and is powered by an elderly Enya 15 RC.  Again the build quality is superb.  Look at the way Tony has cut away the undercarriage to save weight.
