Our club was first formed in 1968 and is affiliated with the British Model Flying Association. The main purposes of the club are to encourage, assist and promote the flying of model aircraft of all types. The club currently has over fifty members and there is a wealth of experience should you require any assistance. The BMFA forms the framework of our club providing guidance as to safe operating procedures, insurance, achievement schemes, education, technical advice and a wealth of other support. A good starting point for anyone starting out in this hobby is the Manx Model Flyers Handbook.

MMF Handbook 101119 (EDITION ONE)

Members of our club fly from various flying sites throughout the Isle of Man.  Member’s models range from the humble glider to Large Model Association registered scale twin engine models.  EDF Jets, helicopters, quad-copters and the occasional jet turbine are also flown. On this site we hope you will find helpful information should you wish to take up any aspect of model flying on the Isle of Man.  Our Club Moto. ”Whichever way you throw me I will fly!”
