Peter demonstrates that despite the weather he’s a “SURE” thing!

On Sunday 25th August we provided a static display of some fifteen models at the Jurby Festival. Initially we were a little concerned about what space had been allocated for us but considering the beautiful weather we decided to set up in the open next to a food stall! The downside being we could see and smell the food but didn’t get the time to stand in the queue.

Mike White, Mark Coxhill, Peter Lloyd-Davies and Stan Craine were kept busy throughout the day and the display proved very popular with young and old alike. Models presented ranged from a humble shock flyer up to a scale petrol powered 1/4 scale Pietenpol Sky Scout. The fifteen models covered a wide range of disciplines the only things missing on the day were gliders. A small 26cc petrol engine also generated a lot of interest with the mechanically minded motorcycle enthusiasts.
